Why consent matters
Color consultations often include identifiable images. Consent protects clients, colorists, and the platform. No photo consultation feature is live in this public foundation, but the rules below will guide the intake design.
Required permissions
Before upload, the submitter must confirm that every person shown consented to the submission, understand how images will be stored, and accept that consultation use is separate from any marketing or education use.
- Consultation storage and expert review only, by default
- Optional face crop or obscuring tools when the feature launches
- No public gallery, ads, class samples, or product promotion without separate specific permission
- User-initiated permanent deletion and administrator retention controls
Lighting and framing guidance
When the intake opens, members will be encouraged to capture natural, neutral lighting from the front, back, sides, roots, mids, and ends, and to note lighting conditions so preliminary analysis is not misled by filters or warm bulbs.
